What we needed was a reminder system baked into the signing flow—but since that’s not native yet, Mario gave us a slick workaround using the Workflow Builder.

🧠 The Fix: Automate Reminders with Smart Workflow Logic

Here’s how it goes:

  1. Trigger 1: “Invoice Sent”
    When the document goes out, kick off a workflow.
  2. Add a Wait Step (e.g. 1 Day)
    Give them a grace period to sign it.
  3. Conditional Logic
    Check: Has the invoice been signed?
    • ❌ No = Send reminder email or SMS
    • ✅ Yes = End the sequence
  4. Repeat or exit as needed
    You can loop reminders for a few days or until signed.

✨ You now have an automated system that follows up for you without being annoying.

Pro Tips from Mario

Use tags or custom values to track signed vs. unsigned docs
Add a goal to stop the workflow once the document is completed
Use “Invoice Sent” and “Invoice Signed” as separate triggers for flexibility
