Here’s the scenario: If you’re looking to import new leads into HighLevel and want them to immediately be put into a campaign (but don’t want thousands of leads being put into the campaign at the same time), the most flexible and automated way to do this is with a Zap to drip your leads into HighLevel. This is especially helpful for campaigns that involve calls, voicemail drops or a need to respond to texts in a manual manner. This can also be done for leads that pre-exist in HighLevel (see that article here).
What you will need
- Zapier Account
- HighLevel Account
- Google Account
Move Lead Data into Google Sheets
The entire automation will fire off of new rows being added to a Google Sheet. Before we create that Zap automation, let’s create the Google Sheet and get our lead data into the right spot.
- Get your list of leads into a spreadsheet format (usually through exporting the leads from a different software or through data entry/web research)
- Create a Google Sheet with one tab
- Name the Tab New Leads
- Copy and paste list from the current spreadsheet into the New Leads Tab
- In New Leads Tab, add a column called Drip Time

Create Zap to Send Lead Into HighLevel
- You will be copying and pasting lead information and drip times into the Drip Campaign Tab to fire this Zap.
- First Step – New or Updated Row in Google Sheets
- Select your Google Sheet
- Select Drip Campaign Tab
- Select Drip Time Column
- First Step – New or Updated Row in Google Sheets
- Second Step – Create ‘Delay Until’ based on the time in the ‘Drip Time’ column
- Third Step – Add Lead to Campaign in HighLevel (this will automatically create a new lead
- Select appropriate campaign
- Include email address to ensure contact does not become a duplicate contact (see step 3 in above GIF)

Drip Lead Into HighLevel Campaign(s)
- With the Zap enabled, enter in the date and time you want the drip to occur in the Drip Column (format: DD/MM/YYY 00:00:00)
- You can manually enter in dates and times or if there is a pattern you want to use (e.g. every 5 minutes) you can do the following
- Enter date and time for two leads that are patterned apart (5 minutes, 1 hour, whatever)
- Highlight both cells
- Move cursor to lower right of bottom-most cell (it will form a bold plus sign)
- Click and drag down as far as you want and each cell will be the same difference from the next cell as what you created in the first two cells. In other words, if there was a 5 minute difference between the first two cells, then every cell will be ready to drip 5 minutes after the previous cell
