You know those questions you want to ask in the HighLevel Facebook group but feel like you should already know the answer?
Yeah—this post is for that.
We recently ran a live Zoom training with Mario Aldayuz (Head of Partnerships at HL Pro Tools) and saved the best for last: the rapid-fire Q&A section.
What came out of that session? 🔥 A goldmine of fixes for annoying issues that every agency owner runs into—especially if you’re scaling with SaaS, white label tools, or multiple client accounts.
Let’s dig in 👇
“How do I disable stuff like Afterpay in Stripe?”
Short answer: You probably can’t do it in Stripe’s dashboard.
Stripe loves to sneak in extra payment options (like Afterpay or Klarna) as defaults. Not always ideal when you’re trying to keep things clean and professional.
🛠 Mario’s Fix:
If the dashboard won’t let you toggle it off, email Stripe support directly and ask them to manually disable those options. They’ll usually take care of it fast.
Pro Tip: The simpler your checkout, the higher your conversions. Don’t give clients choices they don’t need.
“Where the heck do I find my agency ID?”
This one had people in the Zoom chat saying “Wait—what?!”
If you’re doing API integrations, custom automations, or anything techy, you’ll eventually need your Agency ID (not the location ID).
🛠 Mario’s Fix:
Use your browser’s developer tools (Inspect > Network tab) and search the XHR responses while inside your agency settings. Look for a payload with “agencyId.”
Yeah, it’s nerdy. But once you see it, you’ll never forget it.
Why it matters: Your Agency ID is the key to unlocking external integrations, webhooks, and deeper automation with HL Pro Tools or custom scripts.
“Can I give full admin access to my VA or freelancer?”
Please no. 🙅♂️
This question pops up all the time from people trying to get help from VAs or white-label support. But giving full admin access to someone you barely know? Risky business.
🛠 Mario’s Fix: Set custom roles and restrict permissions.
Limit what they can see and do. Or better yet—use trusted white-label providers like HL Pro Tools or Extendly who specialize in secure backend support.
Lesson: Not everyone needs the keys to the castle.
Bonus: How to Handle “Weird Little Settings” You Didn’t Know Existed
One of the biggest takeaways from the Q&A?
“I didn’t even know that was a thing…”
There are a LOT of hidden gems (and landmines) inside HighLevel—from white-label subdomains to user permissions to calendar ownership logic. That’s why Zoom calls like this matter—because we surface the things real people are stuck on in the trenches.
Final Takeaway: You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone
Let me say this louder for the agency owners in the back:
You do not have to be a full-stack developer to run a high-converting SaaS agency.
You just need:
✅ Clear guidance
✅ Proven templates
✅ Battle-tested tools
…which just so happens to be exactly what we build at hlprotools.com 😉
