New sub-accounts cannot blast thousands of texts on day one. You have to earn the carriers’ trust through a strict 8-level ramp-up.

  1. When you send your first successful message, your sub-account starts at Level 1, which allows 100 SMS within a 24-hour window.
  2. Once you hit that 100-message limit, your account is temporarily restricted from sending SMS for exactly 24 hours. Do not panic—this is by design to protect your sender reputation.
  3. After 24 hours, the restriction lifts, and you instantly unlock Level 2, giving you a limit of 250 messages.
  4. Repeat this process of hitting the limit and waiting 24 hours until you reach Level 8, which unlocks 3,000+ messages a day. Keep in mind, one-to-one texts and Missed Call Text Backs count toward this daily limit.

Part 2: Automate Spam and DND Handling

Stop sending texts to dead numbers. The system now automatically categorizes undelivered messages to keep your delivery rates high.

  1. If a message bounces because the number is inactive, out of service, or a landline, the system automatically enables Temporary DND for that contact.

  1. Navigate to Settings, select Phone Numbers, open the Advanced Settings tab, and click on SMS Compliance.
  2. Customize your Sender ID (e.g., “Thanks, [Location Name]”). This will be appended to the first message you send a new contact so they know exactly who is texting them.
  3. Customize your Opt-Out Language (e.g., “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”). The platform is smart—it will not auto-insert this if it detects you already typed an opt-out phrase in your custom message script.

The carriers are watching. If your metrics drop into the danger zone, you will get suspended.

  1. Keep your opt-out rate strictly below 1%. If your contacts are constantly replying STOP, you are texting a bad list and risk an automatic suspension.

  3. If you do trigger a violation, your account will enter temporary suspension and all outbound bulk SMS will fail until midnight UTC. Pause your workflows and ensure you have explicit consent before the suspension lifts.
